Wiwo Hotel Bintulu Not Worth The Money

We checked into the Wiwo Hotel after a long and tiring day of travelling. We booked two rooms, but to our disappointment, the hotel had given us rooms in the next building due to our late check-in. It was inconvenient, especially during the day when food stalls located right in front of the entrance caused noise and disturbance. The hawkers started doing business at 4 am, disrupting our sleep.

One of our rooms, Room 231, was so smelly. We were pretty sure the tenant before us had been smoking in it. They didn't provide an iron or toothbrush, and there was no buffet breakfast. We had to pay an additional RM25 for an extra pax, but it wasn't worth it at all.

The hotel was located in an old building, and it was highly not recommended for non-smokers. The centralized air conditioning system was poor, and the entire hotel was filled with smoke and suffocating. The environment of the rooms was dirty, especially the shower room. The telephone provided was not functioning, and there was no maintenance service at night. The hotel was not worth the money we spent.

However, not all was bad. The price was relatively cheap compared to hotels nearby, and the receptionists were friendly compared to others. The coffee house just next to it was also convenient to hang out in.

The room cleanliness needed improvement before we go back there again.
